With all the stress and pressure you are facing while planning a wedding how do you also go about deciding what wedding favors ideas are good enough to:
- Not overspend.
- Make it a memorable occasion for everyone for years to come.
- Stop stressing and enjoy your day.
Obviously one option is to hire a personal wedding planner that makes all the decisions for you. This however, is contradictory to the meaning of favors and in a way takes some of the excitement and childish passion from this time in your life. The idea of favors is that they are sentimental reminders to guests of the couple and that they come from the heart but what they really come from is a pain in my #@!…
The thought of buying trinkets that break in a few days if not minutes does not appeal to me. Chocolates I can handle but dont give me another keyring, bottle stopper or pepperpot engraved with the couples names. At the end of the day everyone will understand the need not to stretch the budget on these niceties. Besides its your day not theirs. I would rather give better ‘favors’ to the people who have helped you plan the day. Give your brides maids the nicer necklace or better cuff-links to the men.
There are however the odd aunties whos
wedding favors ideas are that nougat and a keychain. For those ducks you can have homemade biscuits wrapped in a bow to appease them.
If you want to however and have great idea for something special or quirky- go for it. Some ideas may include…
- A breakfast basket for the next day.
- Something that you have made yourself.
- A movie ticket.
- A disposable camera for the evening.
Remember that everyone is going to have a good time regardless if they get a favor or no tso stop stressing and focussing on the more important details.
